Cappuccino Readings at Kitabkhana’s 5th Anniversary March 14, 2016 The soft pull of poetry pushes away darkness into remote corners, from where it even seems to highlight the glow emanating from words, from poetry.... This evening the glow touched everyone as accomplished poets got together to share thoughts on what the heart longs to hear, and only poets speak out with such honest abandon! Sedition, feminism, poetry, belonging, redemption, departures, made up a heady cocktail of subjects served up at the 'Celebrating Books with Poetry' evening at Kitabkhana, at their fifth anniversary. Cappuchino Readings joined in with seven gifted poets reading their works. Priya Sarukkai Chhabria, Bina Sarkar Ellias, Sudha Arora, Menka Shivdasani, Damini Kane, Gayatri Chawla and Anjali Purohit held us spellbound, as Smita Sahay expertly navigated the evening.
