Women Empowered - India was inaugurated in a series of poetic celebrations during Sept 4, Sept 10, Sept 12, Sept 30, 2016, amidst the joyous love and participation of poets, writers, artists, friends, family & well-wishers.

A zillion stars sparkled last evening on a kohl-eyed waiting sky, when Mahabanoo Mody Kotwal and Menka Shivdasani walked in to a roomful of eager WE enthusiasts, and graced the ‘Inauguration of Women Empowered-India’ with their wisdom and presence. The evening was beautifully anchored by Jhilmil Breckenridge, poet, writer & activist. Engineer, entrepreneur Smriti Dalvi, owner of winning brand Florista, spoke about her adventures as a woman entrepreneur in a man’s world. WE, the fledgling idea, got off to a flying start with eager participation and valuable contributions from all who were present. WE is very grateful.
The Inauguration dazzled, taking a close look at issues that empower, Speak Softly roared with fresh ideas & perspectives, Ginger Roots by Nabina Das threw out new shoots, telling us WE belong together; and Poetry Crucible converted us to Haibun!
